  <abstract>Muchas preguntas rondan nuestra mente, no es el monstruo lo que nos aterra, es la idea de algo sin alma, de un ser dotado de fuerza desmesurada, de inteligencia superior a la humana, de un corazón desbordante, un ser que sin conciencia del bien y el mal carece de toda posibilidad de reconocimiento, en tanto su característica deformidad desata un destino de rebelión.

El monstruoso invento del doctor Víctor no es más que lo que no podemos controlar —mucho de nosotros—, es en el fondo la idea de un verdadero amigo, la búsqueda de un reflejo que desdibuje los juicios y prejuicios de una mirada vedada. Si entendemos que lo monstruoso habita en nosotros, que lo terrible y lo maravilloso comparten un espacio fronterizo, tal vez podamos entonces hallar al doctor Víctor Frankenstein en vez de juzgar su brillante y espantosa creación.</abstract>
